11 QUESTIONS.

1. What is the craziest thing you like to eat or have ever tried?

- i'm pretty lame when it comes to food. i haven't tried fried bugs or anything like that. i eat broccoli almost every day and would pick grilled chicken or salmon over most things. that's just what i like. but i did try a lot of native hawaiian foods while staying there when i was younger. and i'm sure they were different than anything i've tried before.

2. If you could live anywhere where would you live & why?

- well truthfully, this answer changes often. from southeast on the beach to europe to canada. but currently, i would see myself living somewhere in the pacific northwest. preferably along the west coast. somewhere in between the redwood forest to washington state. ofcourse, i would need my main man there beside me. we're explorers and thrive on being outdoors. i love hiking and camping. and being able to be in the forest one minute and on the beach the next, sounds like a dream to me.

3. What is your favorite accessory & how long have you had it?

- i have two. one is a ring my dad bought me in scottsdale a few years ago, it's a litte big now so i'm afraid to wear it and it slip right off my finger. the other is a necklace carter got me for christmas a few years ago. it's an earthy stone similar to my birthstone and on a black rope. and it lays over my heart.

4. What is your favorite chick flick? If you are not into them, what is your favorite movie?

- i'm not the girliest of gals but i can watch a chick flick any day of the week. i love a good love story! of course i'm one of those the notebook fans. a few other current favorites include : beastly / the last song / like crazy

5. Have you ever done anything scary or insane? If not, what would you do if you could? ie: skydiving or bungy jumping.

- if you had asked me this question ten years ago, i would most likely have answered differently. back then i was much more fearless and now i'd say i'm much more aware. i also have this insane, leg shaking, knee buckling fear of heights these days. however, i will hike up any mountain, i just won't stand too close to the ledge. lately, we've been having picnics on cliffs. it's a little breathtaking.

6. Stripes, plaid, plain or polka dots? And what color(s)?

- hands down, always and forever it will be plaid for me. and i think there is nothing more handsome than plaid on men. so for those days where carter and i both end up wearing plaid and yes, it happens often... i usually switch to stripes which is my second favorite. i tend to stick with natural, earthy colors. navy, hunter green and red.

7. If you could meet any famous person, living or dead who would it be?

- off the top of my head... john lennon. he was always my crush growing up. and yes, i'm clearly aware paul was the better looking beatle, he's a close second. they have been my favorite band for over twenty years. i've read numerous books. and i'd just like to sit there and pick his brain, listen to him speak and sing a few of these : jealous guy / beautiful boy / love

8. What is your all time favorite dessert?

- a red velvet cupcake / salted caramel frozen yogurt / mint chocolate chip ice cream. i can't just pick one, see a theme here!

9. What DIY project have you been wanting to make?

- check out my diy inspiration board on pinterest here

10. If you have kids what made you choose their names? If you don't have any kids, do you have any favorite names picked yet? OR..... If you don't have kids, why did your parents choose your name & do you like it?

- i was almost named isabella after isabella rosselini but my grandparents were worried the nickname izzy would stick. instead, my parents chose sara after hearing a number of songs by some of their favorites : stevie nicks / bob dylan / hall & oates. and my middle name is a family name, it was my great-grandmother "gee's" name, grace. we also have a few names in mind for future babes. but those will be kept a mystery.

11. If you could re-live any moment what would it be?

- the problem with this question is that it's always a constant struggle for me to live in the present. it is something i am working on daily. there are so many moments in life i wish i could re-live or do over. but everything that has happened has brought me to where i am now, which is a very happy place. of course, i wish i could re-live moments with friends i've lost or my grandfather and just hug them and never let go. but i also would love to re-live the first few memories i have of carter. they are still so vivid. and that was when my life completely changed. i mean, that moment you realize what falling in love feels like. it's undescribable.

If you sat around and read this whole thing, I'm sorry! Thanks again, Shio for sending these questions my way. She nominated me for the Liebster Award, which has come back around my way... here is the original post I wrote for it back in January. This time, I stuck with the questions, they are always fun! I'm thinking of making a little Q&A series from time to time. So if you have any other interesting questions, send them my way.  And if you'd like to play along, feel free! Just link back to me so I can read your answers!
